Me again!!

Soooo......today is 63 years married!!!!.....let me repeat....SIXTY-THREE YEARS OF MARRIAGE!!!!!...........is that amazing or what??.....Wonderful and beautiful people...they are spending the entire day together and alone. There has to be something we can all learn from these two people that have been married longer than most of us have been alive!!

I know one of the things they never ever do is argue in public or in front of anyone else...most especially their children.

They respect each other even if they don't agree.

They have never separated their belongings, money or property...They believe all material items belong to both of them.....even their money,
credit cards and vehicles!!

Love to them is what life is not a goal.

How do I know?.....cause they are my folks and I asked them!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOMMA AND DADDY!!! We love you and appreciate you!!

Something found on FB

"Heal*thy Self
There
comes a time in life when you have to let go of all the pointless drama
and the people who create it and surround yourself with people who
make you laugh so hard that you forget the bad and focus solely on the
good. After all, life is too short to be anything but happy."

Just had to share here!!!

Another quote from a special author

"CELEBRATION

'What would spirituality give me?'
said an alcoholic to the Master.

'Nonalcoholic intoxication,'
was the answer."

It's Friday!!!!! WooHoo!!!

Is everyone happy? Today is Friday, and for most of us means the last day of the work week AND two whole days off!!!! Like I said MOST of us......I wonder what we will do with these two days? I sincerely believe it is a time to enjoy......the laundry, the house, the mowing, changing the oil in the vehicles, etc. can all wait until after work during the week!! These are MY and my honey's time to enjoy. We both love driving around the mountains (the mountains are pretty close), we also enjoy walking around our property and playing with the dog (who we swear is half human!). There are a lot of other activities we both enjoy so half the fun is figuring out which fun thing we want to do!!!! `

However, knowing my better half, I have to assume that he will want to stay and work around the house (I can safely assume this, as this is what he has done for the past twenty plus years). Which then brings to mind another quote:

"In the center of our own body, there is a small shrine in the form of a lotus flower,
And within it can be found a small space.
The heavens and the earth are there; the sun, the moon, and the stars, fire and lightning and winds - the whole universe dwells within our heart."
- adapted from the Upanishads Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out

So in reality (and I mean the real reality) my two days off are celebrated and experienced to their fullest right within my own little heart! What a concept! Something I should maybe consider adapting throughout the week?

My favorite quote

I read a book by Hugh Prather a few years back. There is one quote of his that has stayed with me since then: ".....there is another way to go through life besides being pulled through it kicking and screaming...". Notes on Love and Courage

When I say it has been a few years....well let's just say I have remembered this passage every time throughout my life I have been in a negative train of thought and felt that life was serving up not just lemons without sugar, but some other not so tasty tid bits.....if you know what I mean! :-)

I just thought I would share that quote from one of my favorite authors.

Something to think about

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

living life to its fullest?? maybe??? :-\

If this was my last year of life.....what would I be doing? I think something else than what I am doing right now!! Now the million dollar question.....why aren't I doing what I would be doing if this was the last year of my life?

Very good question...maybe because I think that death won't come to me any time in the near future so now I have to save up (time, money, etc.) so that I can do what I want....or is it that I don't feel like I should do what I "want" because it doesn't fit into anyones plan, or because I feel I am undeserving?

Quite a bit to contemplate and consider! Hmmm?

HOT!!!

is anyone else out there dying of heat exhaustion??? and we are still in spring time!! ah well.....some day we will all have air coolers that work! :-)
